In September 2016, the Oregon Health Authority was notified of a case of late-onset group B _Streptococcus agalactiae_ (GBS) bacteremia in an infant that began 5 days after completion of treatment for early-onset GBS bacteremia. The infant was born at term following an uncomplicated pregnancy; maternal GBS vaginal/rectal screening culture at 37 weeks' gestation was negative.
