Anthrax -- India
Anthrax made a comeback in the tribal areas of Visakhapatnam district [Andhra Pradesh]. On [Mon 2 Apr 2018] morning, 2 people from Godugumamidi village in Chintapalle mandal of Visakhapatnam agency were admitted to King George Hospital for suspected skin lesions of anthrax on their hands.
According to an inquiry by the officials of district Health & Medical department, the villagers had slaughtered and skinned a dead cow. Furthermore, the meat was consumed by the entire village. The
