The DTRA [Defense Threat Reduction Agency] CBEP [Cooperative Biological Engagement Program]-funded (HDTRA1-16-1-0005) Bushmeat Biosecurity Research (BBR) Project team at the Nelson Mandela African Institution of Science and Technology (NM-AIST) in Arusha, Tanzania, has been coordinating with multiple partners to monitor anthrax (_Bacillus anthracis_) outbreaks in northern Tanzania since October 2016.
