Valley Fever -- United States
San Luis Obispo [SLO] County [California] Public Health Services says one person in the county has recently died from valley fever [coccidioidomycosis]. His death marks the 5th valley fever death so far this year in SLO County.
Health officials say 47 cases of valley fever were reported in the 1st 4 months of the year [2017] and 11 additional cases are under investigation.
