Bovine TB -- United States
An Emmet County cattle herd has tested positive for bovine tuberculosis.
According to the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development (MDARD), the infected animal in the Emmet County herd was bought from a Presque Isle County herd which tested positive for the disease on 1 May 2019.
MDARD officials said the Emmet County herd was designated as infected on 17 May 2019.
Investigations into these herds utilized whole-genome sequencing, a specific test able to identify the DNA
