In the trend survey of infectious diseases, 33 patients [with severe fever with thrombocytopenia syndrome (SFTS)] have been reported so far, and the number of reported cases (including delayed reports) from the previous summary (28 Nov 2018) was 3 cases. The ratio between men and women was 192 to 204, and the median age at the time of notification was 74.0 years. Although there are many cases of onset in May to August, as in 2016, the number of reports tended to increase until October in 2018.
