Avian Influenza H5N6 -- United Kingdom
The Department for Environment Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) and Lincolnshire Trading Standards have issued warnings after confirmed cases of bird flu were discovered near Bourne.
DEFRA told Lincolnshire Reporter that H5N6 -- a subtype of the species influenza A virus -- was reported in 2 greylag geese and 2 wild pheasants, which were found dead on farmland near Bourne on [28 Feb 2018].
