Sexually transmitted diseases [STDs] are on the rise in North Dakota and Stutsman County, according to the North Dakota Department of Health.
In North Dakota, 3457 cases of chlamydia were reported to the department in 2016, an 8.5 per cent increase from the previous year [2015]. The state also saw 1005 cases of gonorrhea, an almost 50 per cent increase from 2015, and 61 cases of syphilis, a 42 per cent increase, according to the department.
