A food poisoning incident in Assam's Hojai district has left 3 women dead and 2 others ill, reports said. The incident reportedly occurred due to food coming into contact with pesticides.
The incident took place at Katkatia Kohar village under Jamunamukh police station in the middle Assam district on Thursday evening [8 Dec 2016].
According to reports, 5 women were taken ill after allegedly consuming food at a paddy field and they were immediately admitted at Nagaon civil
