Melioidosis -- Vietnam
In late August 2016, a young man from Thanh Hoa province was diagnosed with melioidosis, a disease which can kill patients within 48 hours. The patient was 25 years old. On 11 Aug 2016, he was brought to Bach Mai Hospital in Hanoi with severe sepsis and multiple organ dysfunction.
