As of 12 noon today [17 Feb 2016] a total of
1298 laboratory confirmed cases of MERS-CoV infection have been reported, including
554 deaths [reported case fatality rate 42.7 per cent]
740 recoveries, and
4 currently active cases
Information on newly reported cases (in the past 24 hours):
1 - a 53 year old non-healthcare worker Saudi male from Riyadh, reported to be in a stable condition. Referred to as a primary case but listed as no history of contact with camels.
