A compilation of recent research publications relevant to rabies epidemiology
1. Epidemiology of rabies in Oman: a retrospective study (1991-2013).
A total of 22 788 cases of animal bites were reported in Oman between 1991 and 2013, with 8 human rabies cases reported (mostly from wild animals) with 100 percent mortality. Of 758 suspected animals tested, 56.1 percent were positive for rabies, with foxes showing the highest positivity rate, or 70.1 percent.
