A 59-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman, both from McKinley County [New Mexico], have confirmed hantavirus pulmonary syndrome [HPS], marking the 7th and 8th cases in the state this year [2016].
Both patients are hospitalized, the New Mexico Department of Health said in a news release Thursday [8 Dec 2016].
