Bats showing signs of being infected by a rabies-like virus have been found by researchers in southern parts of Sweden, with experts warning that anyone bitten by one should seek medical attention.
Over 6 years, researchers at Sweden's Public Health Agency (Folkhalsomyndigheten), National Veterinary Institute (veterinarmedicinska anstalt) and Uppsala University collected and analyzed saliva and blood from bats in southern and central parts of Sweden.
