Hong Kong health officials report today [14 Dec 2016] that they are investigating a case of probable botulism. This has prompted them to remind the public that botulinum toxin injection should only be prescribed and performed by registered doctors.
The patient, a 29-year-old woman with good past health, developed drooping eyelids, blurred vision, and generalized weakness since 12 Dec 2016.
