As of 13:00 [1:00 PM] today [23 Dec 2016], there have been a total of:
1514 laboratory-confirmed cases of MERS-CoV infection, including
630 deaths [reported case fatality rate 41.6 per cent],
871 recoveries, and
13 currently active cases [including one asymptomatic household contact].
Since the last ProMED-mail update [19 Dec 2016], there have been a total of:
3 newly confirmed cases,
1 newly reported fatality, and
1 newly reported recovery.
