As of 13:00 [1:00 PM] today [28 Dec 2016], there have been a total of:
1522 laboratory-confirmed cases of MERS-CoV infection, including
632 deaths [reported case fatality rate 41.5 per cent],
878 recoveries, and
12 currently active cases [including 3 asymptomatic contacts - 1 household, 2 healthcare workers].
Since the last ProMED-mail update [28 Dec 2016], there have been a total of:
3 newly confirmed cases,
1 newly reported fatality, and
3 newly reported recoveries.
