PRO/AH/EDR> Avian influenza (144): Israel, poultry, wild, HPAI H5N8, spread

Avian Influenza H5N8 -- Israel
Since 2006, 35 Highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) outbreaks have been recorded in Israel on commercial holdings/farms.
They were divided into the following (affected) branches:
1. Turkey farms (all but one for fattening; one was a breeding farm): 24 (69 percent of the total).
2. Broiler breeders: 9 (26 percent).
3. Layer breeder: 1.
4. Broilers: 1.
Not a single outbreak was reported from a table-egg layer holding.
Prior to 2016, all HPAI cases were caused by the virus
