Polio -- Pakistan
In response to the RFI (request for information) on 9 Jun 2018, we have learned from our EpiCore Surveillance Project that a wild poliovirus type 1 (WPV1) was isolated from an 18 month old male child, resident of Union Council Sadar, Duki district, Balochistan Pakistan. Date of onset of illness (bilateral lower extremity weakness) of this case was 18 May 2018.
