The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health (LAC DPH) is investigating 2 clusters of mumps cases occurring in adult men in Los Angeles County. As of 9 Mar 2017, there have been 5 confirmed and 2 likely cases of mumps reported in adult men; the majority have been in HIV uninfected men who have sex with men. Contact investigations are ongoing.
