Brucellosis -- Mexico
José Ángel Martínez, in charge of Sanitary Regulation of Jurisdiction 3 of the Secretariat of Health of Zacatecas (SSZ), reported that there is an outbreak of brucellosis in the community Rancho Grande in the city of Fresnillo in Zacatecas State, according to an NT report (computer translated). Martinez said there have been 5 confirmed cases to date; however, he expects that number to climb. Those infected are over the age of 20. The outbreak is linked to contaminated cheese.
