Brucellosis -- Bulgaria
Two new brucellosis outbreaks have been registered recently in Bulgaria, in the village of Kochan, district of Blagoevgrad, and in the town of Knezha, district of Pleven, the Bulgarian Food Safety Agency announced.
22 small ruminants tested positive for the disease in Kochan as well as 6 head of cattle in Knezha. A ban has been introduced on the movement of animals to and from the populated places. The infected animals will be euthanised.
