A 9 year old girl from Basilan has been added to the list of confirmed poliovirus cases in the country, according to Sam Nielsen's report on Super Radyo dzBB on [Mon 25 Nov 2019], citing the Department of Health (DoH). The new case brought the total number of new cases recorded nationwide this year [2019] to 8, the latest being the 3 recorded last week [week of 18 Nov 2019] in Cotabato. The report said the 9 year old from Basilan did not receive any vaccine against the virus.
