The local Homegrown Organic chain of sandwich shops has been linked to a small outbreak of Shiga toxin producing _E. coli_ infections in King County, according to county health investigators. A total of 4 people in King County have been sickened since [Wed 23 May 2018] after eating at 3 different Homegrown stores: Redmond, Kirkland, and the Westlake Avenue shop in Seattle. All of the people sickened ate the chicken pesto sandwich, according to health officials.
