Chronic Wasting Disease -- United States
The state [Pennsylvania] Department of Agriculture Monday [12 Feb 2018] announced that 2 captive deer have tested positive for chronic wasting disease (CWD), bringing the total to 46 positive samples since the disease was discovered in the state in 2012.
The disease was confirmed in one white-tailed deer on a hunting preserve in Bedford County and one at a Lancaster County breeding operation.
