The World Health Organization (WHO) said on [Tue 19 Dec 2017], 21 people died of diphtheria in Rohingya [refugee] camps in Bangladesh, where a 2nd vaccination campaign has begun, [launched on 17 Dec 2017, this time targeting minors aged 7 to 15].
According to the WHO, between [10 Nov and 17 Dec 2017], 1571 suspected cases of this disease were reported in the camps of Cox's Bazar, in [Chittagong division] southeastern Bangladesh, which host some 655 000 Rohingyas.
