The nematode _Angiostrongylus cantonensis_ is a zoonotic pathogen and the etiological agent of human angiostrongyliasis or rat lungworm disease.
Hawai'i, particularly east Hawai'i Island, is the epicenter for angiostrongyliasis in the USA.
