In the "San Camilo" pavilion of Dos de Mayo Hospital, the 3 children who share a room with a 4th are awake and talk to their families. The youngest girl, who has lost her speech and strength to move, at age 3 is the survivor of the only case reported so far in Peru of infection by an unusual bacterium.
