Conjunctivitis -- Mexico
During the last week [3 to 9 April 2017], Tamaulipas recorded an outbreak of 1257 cases of conjunctivitis, a disease characterized by inflammation of the conjunctiva and is caused by a virus or bacteria.
According to the epidemiological bulletin number 13 of the Ministry of Health, the disease is on the rise this year [2017], with a total of 11 884 cases occurring during the first 3 months, with this week of April [2017] recording the highest case numbers.
