Bovine TB -- United States
An investigation found a herd of cattle infected with bovine tuberculosis.
The Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development says a medium sized beef herd has tested positive for bovine TB in Alcona County.
Bovine TB is regularly found in free-ranging white-tailed deer in Alcona County.
This is now the 65th cattle herd in Michigan found with the disease.
Bovine TB affects cattle and can spread between wildlife and other animals, including humans.
