Foot and Mouth -- India
An outbreak of the highly infectious foot-and-mouth disease (FMD) has killed 35 milch cattle at Dina Sahib village of Nihal Singh Wala sub-division over the past 4 weeks, with the first death reported on 6 Jul [2021]. The disease is a contagious viral infection. Another 42 animals are critical, with cows bearing the major burden of the disease, officials of the animal husbandry department say.
