Yellow rust has been reported on wheat in Kurukshetra district. "Farmers have been advised to keep a close watch on the crop. The weather is favourable for the disease, and farmers should approach the department in case of any doubt," said [the] assistant plant protection officer.
He said certain varieties were susceptible to yellow rust and should be monitored properly. He said regular monitoring and timely prevention could curb the disease.
