From 0 to 24:00 on [8 May 2020], 31 provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government) and Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported 1 newly confirmed case, which was imported overseas (in Tianjin); no new deaths; 2 new suspected cases (in Shanghai) imported from abroad.
On the same day [8 May 2020], 53 newly cases recovered and were discharged, 670 close contacts were released from medical observation, and there were 3 fewer severe
