African Swine Fever -- Poland
An outbreak of African swine fever (ASF) was confirmed on Monday [6 Apr 2020] on a farm near the village of Wieckowice near Poznan in western Poland [Wielkopolskie/Greater Poland], less than 150 km (93 mi) from the border with Germany [see map at ].
The outbreak is Poland's 2nd in 2020 and the 1st in the Poznan region, an important centre of pig farming.
