PRO/AH/EDR> Salmonellosis - USA (04): live poultry, multiple serotypes

Salmonella -- United States
CDC, many state departments of health and agriculture, and the United States Department of Agriculture's Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service are investigating 8 multistate outbreaks of human salmonellosis linked to contact with live poultry in backyard flocks. These outbreaks are caused by several kinds of salmonellae: _Salmonella [enterica_ serotype] Braenderup, _S._ Enteritidis, _S._ Hadar, _S._ I 4,[5],12:i-, _S._ Indiana, _S._ Infantis, _S._Mbandaka, and _S._ Typhimurium.
