Equine Herpes Virus -- United States
The Kentucky State Veterinarian's Office reported late [24 Jan 2017] that testing has confirmed additional equine herpesvirus-1 (EHV-1) cases at Turfway Park, in Florence [Boone County], and Keeneland Race Course, in Lexington [Fayette County].
Testing was conducted after a mare previously stabled at Turfway Park tested positive for the wild strain of EHV-1 late last week [week of 16 Jan 2017].
