Pneumonia -- Myanmar
Cases of pneumonia and fever have been rising in Maungdaw South [Rakhine State] since colder weather arrived on [1 Jan 2016], according to a Rohingya [Indo-Aryan peoples from the Rakhine State] from the area. He said that most of the affected people are elderly villagers and children under the age of 5 [years].
Two women, [one aged 60 years and one aged 55 years] died on 2 January [2016], in Khonzabill village in Aley Than Kyaw Village Tract, Maungdaw, after catching pneumonia and suffering
