Lassa Fever -- Nigeria
A medical doctor with Rivers State-owned Braithwait Memorial Specialist Hospital, BMH, has died from Lassa fever, bringing to 3 the number of people killed by the disease in the state, chairman of the state branch of the Nigerian Medical Association, NMA, Dr. Furo Green disclosed yesterday [14 Jan 2015] in Port Harcourt, saying that the late doctor, who died in the early hours yesterday [14 Jan 2015] from the ailment, had contact with patients infected with Lassa fever.
