Texas Animal Health Commission (TAHC) officials confirmed 2 quarter horses of unspecified age with equine infectious anemia (EIA). The 2 horses reside in Denton and Harris counties. The Denton County horse was euthanized; the Harris County horse is affected and alive. The premises on which the horses reside are under official quarantine until TAHC requirements are met.
