Paralytic Shellfish Poisoning -- Philippines
Two children died and 4 other family members were downed by suspected paralytic shellfish poisoning in the island town of Daram in Samar [Eastern Visayas], according to the Department of Health (DOH-8) Wednesday [16 Sep 2020].
An 8-year-old boy and his 3-year-old brother manifested symptoms of food poisoning after eating green mussels (tahong) for lunch on Tuesday [15 Sep 2020] in Barangay Bagacay of said town.
