Eastern Equine Encephalitis -- United States
In the wake of an especially prevalent and deadly year for eastern equine encephalitis [EEE] virus, National Institutes of Health officials say the mosquito-borne illness poses an "emergent threat" and are calling for a national strategy to address it and other emerging arboviruses [arthropod-borne viruses].
