Tularemia -- Sweden
According to clinical reports, a majority (over 70%) of the reported cases during the ongoing outbreak of tularemia in Sweden appear to have contracted the infection through insect bites, mainly mosquito bites. For about 1/4 of the disease cases no path of infection is indicated, while mainly animal contact and in some cases drinking water is indicated as route of infection for the remaining cases.
