Anthrax -- Uganda
On [Tue 27 Mar 2018] a young boy at this refugee camp in Arua, demonstrated skin lesions. Blood and swab samples were taken and sent to the appropriate diagnostic laboratory. On [Mon 9 Apr 2018] the samples tested PCR positive for _Bacillus anthracis_. Other patients sampled were an adult male with a characteristic charbon lesion on his right forearm, and his samples tested PCR positive. A boy with a week old lesion tested PCR negative.
