Avian Influenza H5N6 -- South Korea
A new case of bird flu has been discovered at a duck farm in South Korea's southwestern region, the agriculture ministry said [Mon 8 Jan 2018], in the latest outbreak in the duck farming region, South Korea's Yonhap news agency reported.
The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs said H5 avian influenza (AI) was detected at a farm in Naju, 355 km [approx. 220 mi] south of Seoul, and culled all of the farm's 16 500 ducks.
