Meningitis - Neisseria -- Italy
A six-year-old girl attending primary school on Via Garofani, in Rozzano, died [Thu 2 Nov 2017] night from a form of fulminant meningitis. The death occurred at the Pope John XXIII hospital in Bergamo, the province where the child was on vacation with grandparents for the Ognissanti Bridge. The parents who were accompanying children to school learned the dramatic news [Fri 3 Nov 2017] morning thanks to WhatsApp messages and chats. Panic was triggered: many moms brought the children home
