Newcastle Disease -- Bulgaria
An outbreak of Newcastle disease was found in hens on a farm in the village of Sinitevo in the region of Pazardzhik, Director of the Regional Food Safety Directorate Dr. Petko Mitev told Focus Radio - Pazardzhik. The outbreak is localized, all birds in the 3 km [approx.1.8 mi] protection zone are vaccinated. These are the villages of Sinitevo, Miryantsi and Ognyanovo, Dr. Mitev said.
No other outbreaks of Newcastle disease or avian influenza have been reported in the area so
