Japanese Encephalitis -- China
The Centers for Disease Control said [Thu 8 Jun 2017] doctors confirmed that a 45-year-old Ukrainian woman working in Tainan, southern Taiwan, has contracted Japanese encephalitis, the 2nd such case this year [2017].
The patient, initially experienced a severe headache and fever, but lost consciousness and was hospitalized on [30 May 2017]. She was confirmed as having contracted Japanese encephalitis on [Wed 7 Jun 2017].
