As of 14:00 [2:00 PM] today [Fri 19 May 2017], there have been a total of:
1611 laboratory-confirmed cases of MERS-CoV infection, including
663 deaths [reported case fatality rate 41.2 percent],
935 recoveries, and
13 currently active cases
