Between 16 Sep 2016 and 10 Oct 2016 the National IHR Focal Point of Saudi Arabia seven (7) additional cases of Middle East respiratory syndrome (MERS) including one (1) fatal case.
Details of the cases
1. A 28-year-old male non-national living in Hail city, Hail Region. He developed symptoms on 5 Oct 2016 and was admitted to hospital on 8 Oct 2016. The patient who has no comorbidities, tested positive for MERS-CoV on 9 Oct 2016. Investigation of history of exposure to the known risk
