- Florida (Miami) imported. 22 Aug 2016. (conf.) mother infected in Venezuela (Margarita Island) at end of 1st trimester of pregnancy. Baby with no microcephaly but with some brain calcifications and mild retinal changes (can be seen in the video at this URL).
- New York (New York City). 16 Aug 2016. (conf.) 49 pregnant women positive for Zika virus infection, all acquired in countries where transmission was occurring , of these 1 baby born with microcephaly.
